Dixie Fried Hep Katz got our name from two old school slang terms, “Let’s get Dixie Fried” meant let’s get drunk and “Hep cat” meant a cool person that had style. One of Dixie Fried Hep Katz inspirations is the late great Carl Perkins who had a song called Dixie Fried in 1956. Hep was a term used for cool which eventually became hip, it was also the title of a rare rockabilly track from Larry Terry in 1961 which was covered by our good friends The Wheelgrinders.
Objayda's secret lies in the unlikely songwriting partnership between Tarn Ockenden & Tim Howe following their chance encounter in a wind up gramaphone shop in 1982. The band is completed by drummer John 'Woody' Wood who joined the line up slightly more recently.
Their single Skeleton Bob was recently championed by UK comedian and showbiz celebrity Frank Skinner on his national radio breakfast show and who is reputed to be a fan!

Meet Chloe, a folk-style singer/songwriter from Hertfordshire. Her musical journey began with the drums, drawing inspiration from Black Betty and Ram Jam. At 15, she discovered her love for singing and guitar. Starting with open mic nights in St Albans, Chloe's confidence grew, paving the way for her musical journey. At 29, she has made a promise to embrace every musical opportunity that comes her way, sharing her heartfelt melodies wherever they may lead.
Square Tugs have been playing solidly around Brisbane since mid-2020 and are well-established on the live circuit. All members are veterans of the Brisbane Punk scene. 2022 saw the band putting the finishing touches on their debut album of which they have released five singles so far. “Monster Hits” is released on the 4th of November and is an explosive, sixteen-song tribute to punk rock.

Felix White is a musician, composer, author and broadcaster. He was the guitarist and a songwriter in ‘The Maccabees’, his debut book, ‘It’s Always Summer Somewhere’, wrote the music for the John McEnroe docufilm ‘McEnroe’, co-hosts the BBC podcast ‘Tailenders’ & set up the ‘Go Well Fund’ alongside his Tailenders co-hosts during the pandemic to help people who needed support most.
Dodgy are an English rock band formed in Hounslow in 1990. The band rose to prominence during the Britpop era of the 1990s. They are best known for their hits "Staying Out for the Summer", "If You're Thinking of Me", and "Good Enough". Good Enough was their biggest hit, reaching No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart. They released their latest album, What Are We Fighting For, in September 2016.
tedstock is the brainchild of Ed Vanson at the start of 2020 he set himself the task of raising £1,000 by the end of the year. Due to Covid-19 and the lockdowns, it has not been possible to hold community events. So in May 2020 he set upon the idea of holding a virtual concert online instead.
Many months later with lots of hard work by Ed and his collaborators, tedstock is finally ready to go live and the below events are planned to kick start the fund raising in 2021 instead.
